Gary Boyle “Oscar”
Gary moved to Calgary in 1970 and started a career at Alberta Distillers (ADL) working maintenance in the bottling plant and in the grain receiving department. He took great pride in his work at ADL and it was there he was given the nickname Oscar! He retired in February 2009. In his post retirement he looked forward to becoming a full-time snowbird with his lifetime partner, Janet Blair. In the winter they enjoyed travels to Texas, Arizona and to Palm Springs, California, area (The Wrinkle Ranch). One summer they enjoyed a trip to Alaska and took several trips to Oregon to enjoy the ocean. When their summer travels were complete, he worked at Wilderness Village Resort in the maintenance department and in the cold months would travel to Palm Springs. We would like to thank the medical staff at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for their care and support during the brief time Gary was in care. In Gary’s memory, Janet Blair, Alanna and Sheldon Law wish to plant a blue spruce at the Wilderness Village Resort — a place that he held dear to his heart. |
